Diego Cavalieri is closer to sealing his move to Brazil after it was revealed that Santos and Corinthians are interested in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri.
The 27-year-old is yet to make his Barclays Premier League debut and has been restricted to eight appearances since a £3million move from Palmeiras two years ago.
Diego Cavalieri is open to a move in order to get more regular action, but would prefer a switch to Spain and has been told to expect a pay cut for a return home.
Both Santos and Corinthians have turned to him after failing to agree terms with 36-year-old Dida, who has been released by AC Milan.
Cavalieri's return, however, would hinge on cash-strapped Liverpool being prepared to release him on a free just halfway though his four-year contract, though they may be more open to a loan deal.
