DIEGO CAVALIERI: CAREER PATH REVEALED

Veteran Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Cavalieritook on the challenge of playing for the sixth club in his professional football career when he signed for Serie A club Botafogo in his native Brazil at the end of 2018.The 38-year-old shot stopper was signed as a free agent some months after the end of his unsuccessful spell at Premier League outfit Crystal Palace. He was signed for the 2019 season by Botafogo but he has been at the club since then.

Diego Cavalieri has played seven times for two-time Brazilian champions Botafogo this season with five of those coming in the league. He has played professional football for 19 years and counting. In addition, Diego Cavalieri has represented the Brazilian national team three times between 2012 and 2013. He was a Fluminense shot stopper when he made his debut for the five-time world champions.
