Diego Milito claims that Juventus will suffer a defeat

Former Inter Milan striker Diego Milito claims that Juventus will suffer a defeat against his former club in one of the biggest matches of the season.

Inter will come into the game keen to regain the form from the early part of the campaign. Back then, Roberto Mancini’s team lookedlike the team to beat. Several consecutive draws have left Inter a couple of points behind leaders Roma. The situation could get worse if they suffer dropped points against Juventus, who have been extremely poor and devoid of any sort of consistency this season.

The sale of important players like Carlos Tevez and Andrea Pirlo in one summer has been cited as the reason for Juventus’ poor form. Slow signs of improvement have become evident over the last few weeks that it would take a lot more in order to regain former strength. The team are almost certain to concede defeat in the Italian Serie A title race for the first time in more than four years. Inter have won five out of the seven starting fixtures whereas Juventus have been able to get only two wins so far. Former Nerazzurri, Milito, says that he will be cheering for the team from Milan.

“I hope that Inter win and in my view that can do it. They had a great start to the season and are fighting to win the Scudetto. I’ll be watching from home and cheering on the Nerazzurri. They have signed great players, including experienced elements and talented youngsters. Joao Miranda and Jeison Murillo are so good in defence,” said Milito, who has very good memories of his time at the San Siro. In his first season at the club, Milito helped Inter win the famous treble. He has since returned to Argentine league where he plays for Racing Club.

Update on Brendan Rodgers plans for the summer

The summer transfer window opened up on July 1rst and managers from around the world are preparing as well as upgrading their respective squads by signing new players and making a few changes within the team in itself.

Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho has already added RadamelFalcao to his team meanwhile Arsene Wenger of Arsenal secured the services of PetrCech. Many other transfers have been done in the Premier League as the summer transfer window has just started.

Brendan Rodgers is fortunate enough to continue being in charge of Liverpool after what was a pretty underwhelming season as they finished at the 6th spot which isn’t terribly bad but what highlights the season of Rodgers is the fact that the majority of his signings have been disappointing.

Fabio Borini, NuriSahin, IagoAspas, KoloToure, AlyCissokho, Victor Moses, Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic and Mario Balotelli all are of the players that have struggled tring to make an impact in Liverpool, some of those players were signed on loan deals while others cost a hefty fee but what they all have in common is that they have not lived up to the expectations that originated after Rodgers added them to the English club.

This upcoming season might be the last one of Rodgers as the head coach of Liverpool, everything depends on how the upcoming campaign goes on and in order to secure a higher spot in the Premier League, Rodgers is hoping that by making a few switches in this summer transfer window it can help his team out in the near future.

Joe Gomez is an 18 year old centre-back that Liverpool signed for a fee of €3.5 million and is one of the first summer signings of Liverpool as well as Bobby Adekanye. Brendan Rodgers also wants to sign Allan Rodrigues de Souza from the Brazilian outfit SC Internacional and he is believed to be preparing an offer in the region of €500,000.
Some of the more recognized players who have been linked with Liverpool includes the likes of: Christian Benteke, Carlos Bacca and Pedro Rodriguez. Unfortunately for Brendan Rodgers, Pedro has renewed his contract with Barcelona and has a buyout clause of €150 million and Carlos Bacca has already been signed by Ac.Milan.

Diego Cavalieri is not going through the best of times

Back in July of 2008, the Brazilian shot-stopper Diego Cavalieri appeared to have a bright future ahead of him as the player was signed by Liverpool for a transfer fee of €3 million with the former coach of the Premier League club, Rafael Benitez considering Cavalieri to be good enough to compete against Pepe Reina.

At that time, Pepe Reina was the undisputed first choice goal-keeper of Liverpool but in order to keep the Spanish player at the tip of his toes and not lose his pace, Cavalieri was signed from Palmeiras but this signing didn’t turn out to be a good one as he only managed to make 10 appearances in 2 seasons for Liverpool.

One of the reasons on why Cavalieri appeared to be such an attractive player to sign was because of his consistently impressive performances that the Brazilian goal-keeper was doing in Brazil with Palmeiras but he failed to live up to the expectations of Rafael Benitez.

Ever since Cavalieri moved away from Liverpool, his career has been experiencing a downward spiral as he switched to the Italian side Cesena where he only lasted 4 months before being transferred to his homeland club Fluminense.

A few weeks ago Fluminense played against Botafogo in the knockout rounds of the Campeonato Carioca which is the annual competition of Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro and this match decided which team was going to advance into the finals. It was a pretty important game to say the least.

This match was dragged on until penalty kicks and up to the point where the goal-keepers of each team had to take the set-piece which resulted with Diego Cavalieri taking his shot way beyond and above the net, his kick wasn’t even close from turning into a goal, meanwhile the goal-keeper of Botafogo did manage to score his penalty kick as he gave his club the victory.

It certainly isn’t the best of times for Diego Cavalieri as the veteran shot-stopperlost his chance on winning the Brazilian title which he hasn’t lifted since 2012.

Brazilian state championships startup is Exciting

The Brazilian state championships have just begun but Fluminense are already looking on course to title success this time around.

They have managed four consecutive victories and it has put them top of the table with a two-point advantage over Flamengo. Their goalkeeper, Diego Cavalieri, has featured in all of these four matches.

He says that it is a fantastic start by the team and one that will give them title success at the end of the campaign. Cavalieriwas speaking after his team not only kept a clean sheet but also recorded a 3-0 win over Boavista.

Lucas Gomes, Fred, and Jean were the scorers on the night and this current run of form sees the club in a good position for the upcoming months. Cavalieri says that the victories have already given a lot of confidence to the team and that they are only hoping to build on the success. This good run of form helps the club overcome the disappointment of a poor Brazilian Serie A season last time around. A run of just two wins in the last five matches saw Fluminense finish outside the top four and they will be without Copa Libertadores football for this campaign. Fred was last season’s top scorer in the Serie A with 18 goals.

“We know the importance of adding points are 15 rounds to classification. We know that the top positions give advantage in the final. The total number of points, more tranquility. It is only the beginning, only the third game. This gives us confidence, moral. We will evolve looking for, we have a lot to improve, present defects, but all okay. It’s start to the season, our team is structured. These victories show that the path is right, that Christopher does an excellent job. The tendency is to evolve,” said the former Liverpool goalkeeper.

Diego Cavalieri still confident upon Fluminense

Fluminense improved a lot in the 2014 Brazilian Serie A season, but it was still not enough to secure them a place in the2015 Copa Libertadores.

The club finished just above the relegation zone in 2013, but the season that just concluded was mightily impressive considering that they almost managed to finish in the third spot.Internacional, São Paulo, and Cruzeiro were the teams who will be playing in theCopa Libertadores without having to involve any qualifying matches whereas Corinthians will play a qualifying match in order to reach the competition proper.

Corinthians finished level on points with third placedInternacional. They were a whopping eight points above Fluminense, who ended up grabbing the sixth spot. Even though the team has to contend with the disappointment of missing out on theCopa Libertadores spot, goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri says that it is not the end of the world. He looks at the positives, which included taking 61 points from the 38 game season. One of the reasons for missing out on the third spot was the poor form in the final five matches of the season. Fluminense managed only two wins from the final five matches and this included the 2-1 defeat against Cruzeiro in the final game of the season.

“Everyone has problems. But for all that happened last year, we had an evolution. In recent years, our team was champion twice. The fan will want to remain always so. We entered the championship with many external inquiries and we the answer on the pitch. Of course it gets a bitter taste because we have advanced a little more. Our room was always the same. We have a very large union. We went through a lot together. Good and bad moments, but the weather was always good, because it created a strong bond,” said Cavalieri.

Vermes Reveals Thoughts About Alliance

The Brazilian side Fluminense is currently in the top 5 spots of the Brazilian league with a 3-0 victory over Palmeiras aiding in their charge of competing against the best teams in their country and things have turned even better for Fluminense after announcing their alliance and partnership with MLS club Sporting Kansas City.

A few weeks ago in August, it was officially announced to the public that a partnership between Sporting Kansas City and Fluminense had been completed and this will allow that both clubs have player loans, transfers and academy exchanges through the 2016 season.

The alliance also includes having the managerial staff of both clubs exchanging coaching philosophies and even marketing tactics.

Peter Vermes is the head coach of Sporting Kansas City and the American tactician was the first to reveal details concerning this alliance.

“They’re first-class people. They have a great vision. They’re a lot like us in that they’re trying to do very innovative things within the Brazilian league that haven’t been done before. We will share in coaching philosophies, both on the senior team and the academy. We will share players both on the senior team and on the academy. We’ll be able to send players down to Brazil to gain additional experience, and Fluminense will be able to do the same with us. . We will probably in some way, shape or form play a game against each other. “Vermes said.

Brazil is a country where many world-class players are born and started developing their skills before going on to join top European clubs and this abundance of producing so many promising players is one of the main reasons on why Peter Vermes said that Sporting Kansas City decided to work in a more intimate level with the Brazilian club Fluminense.

Exeter City Set For Anniversary Match

Exeter City and Fluminense played each other 100 years ago and in order to celebrate the anniversary the two clubs will be coming up against each other in a friendly match. The Brazilian outfit is easily the much stronger of the two after boasting the likes of former Liverpool goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri in their ranks. As a result, Exeter City manager Paul Tisdale has claimed that he is wary of the Fluminense players and he is ready for a tough encounter. Exeter City have taken 18 players to Rio de Janeiro for the match.

After staying clear of relegation troubles last season, Exeter City will be hoping to use this match as an experience for the upcoming League Two campaign. Fluminense are reportedly not looking to name their strongest 11, but it could still feature a number of top players like Cavalieri. Since the Brazilian league is already halfway through the schedule, Tisdale says that the opposition players will be much better in terms of fitness. This puts Exeter city at a disadvantage. Along with the home advantage, Fluminense are the favourites going into the encounter.

Exeter City have taken just one goalkeeper for the match. Christy Pym made only nine appearances for the club last season, but he will be the first choice goalkeeper. “I’m expecting a very difficult game. I don’t know what team they are going to pick because it is a friendly and they have got other interests to focus on that day as well, but I’m expecting a highly-talented team. Let’s hope we don’t get the goalkeeper injured in one of the games like we had 100 years ago, but we do have some who can deputise in goal if that were to happen. However, the only player who is line to play every minute of every game is Christy Pym,” said Tisdale.

Cavalieri Confident Fluminense Will Bounce Back

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri has stated that he is confident that his current team Fluminense will be able to overcome the first league defeat against Horizonte. The two teams came up against each other in the Copa do Brasil match. This was the first round of the competition, but Fluminense suffered a major setback after losing the match 3-1. Despite this, Cavalieri, who is believed to be on the fringes of the national team, says that he is confident of recovery in the second leg. Fluminense will have everything to do in this match since it will be at home as well
.
Cavalieri has represented the national team three times in his career, but he will be hoping that a good performance in this season’s competitions will help him make it into the Brazil squad for 2014. Luiz Felipe Scolari is still contemplating about a recall for former Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar, who recently moved to MLS with Toronto. Since the Brazilian league is considered to be much more quality than the MLS, a good performance in the upcoming few months will definitely help persuade Scolari to utilise Cavalieri for the upcoming tournament.

The former Liverpool man has been with Fluminense since 2011. As one of the experienced players in the squad, coach Cristovao Borges will be turning towards the goalkeeper for inspiration.

“Our only thought is to fight for a positive result. Our focus is on this game. We are working to make a good presentation. If not, we endure the consequences against a tough opponent. We have to get the goal difference. We know that rankings will give us calm and a good environment to work in,” said the goalkeeper. The next match of Fluminense will be at home against Volta Redonda in the Carioca on Monday night.

FOCUS ON ANDERSON

Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira, though commonly called as Anerson is a midfielder from Brazil who plays for Fiorentina, the Italian club, on loan from Manchester United. He is an extremely gifted young footballer who represents his national team with great strength, tackling ability and vision. Anderson was born on 13th April, 1988 at Porto Alegre, Brazil and is a great box-to-box midfielder.

His career took off with Brazilian club Grêmio and from there rose in the ranks with his growing stature and earned play in Série A of Brazil. Anderson moved to Porto in 2005-06 and made the first team status with the team in the 2 seasons he played with them. The season was highly rewarding with 2 Portuguese Liga wins, Portuguese Super Cup and Portuguese Cup. Prior to the 2007-08 season Anderson he shifted to Manchester United and won the Premier League 3 times, League Cup and UEFA Champions League 2007-08. Anderson’s Brazilian debut came in with 2007 Copa América and Brazil won it for the same year. For Brazil he appeared 8 times for international matches, though its unlikely he’ll be included in the squad for this summer.

WILL LIVERPOOL DO IT?

Cristian Tello has never really been a fairly regular starter for Barcelona with the most appearances being made for the 22 years old player was last season when he played in 22 matches for the Spanish giants and most of them arriving from the bench.

Which is why Liverpool wants to make the most out of his lack of playing time in Barcelona and the Premier League club wants to sign him on a loan deal but according to Tello, he wants to remain at the Camp Nou until the summer.

‘I will definitely stay at Barcelona until June, then we will see in the summer,’ said the youngster. Tello stated when he was asked about his near future.

Even though Tello is starting to seem like a farfetched option, Brendan Rodgers has already confirmed that there have been talks regarding some other targets that can arrive in this month if the opportunity rises.

Liverpool’s chances on winning the Premier League title this season still remain alive as they are at the top of the league with 43 points, Brendan Rodger’s side are at the 4th spot. This is something that Liverpool has not accomplished since 2008 when Rafael Benitez was coaching the team at that time and they finished in 2nd place.

Rodgers identified that some of the more important positions that needs reinforcements are at the left back position and down the wings which is why he is taking into consideration on making a move for Lazio’s Candreva.

Yann M’Vila is another player on the radar of Liverpool and according to the agent of the French player, he indeed wants to make a move to the Premier League all that is left is for Liverpool is to make an official offer for the player.
