Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri was a surprise signing for Premier League club Crystal Palace when he signed for them on a short-term contract. Diego Cavalieriwas signed on a free transfer by the Eagles on March 2, 2018.

Diego Cavalieri didn’t make any appearance for Palace by the time his short-term deal ended at the club in June 2018. His last club was Brazilian Serie A outfit Fluminenseand his contract at the club ended at the end of 2017.

Diego Cavalieri didn’t feature for Crystal Palace in any competition during his short stint at Selhurst Park. He was surprisingly linked with a move to Premier League moneybags Manchester City around that time but nothing came out of the transfer rumours.
Diego Cavalieri has played seven times for two-time Brazilian champions Botafogo this season with five of those coming in the league. He has played professional football for 19 years and counting. In addition, Diego Cavalieri has represented the Brazilian national team three times between 2012 and 2013. He was a Fluminense shot stopper when he made his debut for the five-time world champions.
